Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich confronted striker Didier Drogba over his dismissal in last week's Champions League final, it has been revealed.
The People says during the morning after, Abramovich, who was hosting the five-star stay at one of Moscow's top hotels, waited until tempers had cooled before talking to the hitman - and witnesses reveal that he left Drogba in no doubt about his feelings.
The Chelsea owner told Drogba the penalty kick defeat was 'his fault' and that he needed to 'cool down' and there was 'no excuse' for slapping Nemanja Vidic.
An insider said: "Roman made sure he told Drogba his opinions.
"He wasn't angry or shouting, but was upset by the fact that he let him down - Drogba is a player he usually likes."
