GSM International Level 2 Coaching Course a Huge Success!
On May 8-11 GSM provided it second coaching course. In January Coaching Level 1 course was conducted for over 40 coaches in Mandeville under the MYSA. This course had several coaches from KSAFA (Kingston Jamaica area) and through our GSM Director of Soccer in Jamaica Baris Johnson, asked if our level 2 course could be conducted.

Peter Lee, Jamaica’s business manager for GSM Jamaica introduced Paul Banta who began the evening of welcoming and challenging the coaches to be a different coach, using different methods in the game and be the spiritual leader that players really want and need in Jamaica.

Paul Banta, Reggie Pierre-Jerome and Carl Brown were the course clinicians and speakers.

An over whelming number of coaches from the Premiership (NPL) to school Boy football attended. Seventy three in all attended and all passed. “We have received phone calls from other confederations and from the JFF asking us to contact other interested group” and we look forward to severing the coaches of Jamaica and God in a land where Christian is lived in the harts and lives of coaches in the game.

The course had an international flare, as Carl Brown, present Technical Director of Cayman Island and former Jamaica Men’s Senior Coach also attended bringing two Cayman Island Coaches along. As Carl address they coaches in attendance, he urged them that this course and this time together would be a new beginning for them and urged them to not only grow in the game, but to be the spiritual leader for the players they coach and the father and mothers some players may not even have.
