  • It's official - Seba and August Town are relegated

For MoBay's sake, I hope Wadadah can keep the flame burning for the Republic and win promotion to the NPL.

Geoffrey Maxwell saved St. Georges. Will he back next season?

Wow! Tappa was selected to the national program when his Seba team was leading after 5 or so game. Now this!

Is it coincidence that all the coaches appointed to the national program teams fell off form after their appointments? I believe Seba suffered from Whitmore being away at crucial times during the season. For example, I believe he went on a coaching course a few weeks ago, this after the team was in the bottom six. I still believe that the six week tour of Brazil affected some teams in the NPL negatively. Seba with their coach gone for so long was one of the teams affected negatively IMO.

      Yeeeeessssss!!!!

      St.Georges for another year.

Maybe King was right. The national duty maybe taking up Tappa time. At critical time he has to be with the youth team and then going to Trinidad and Brazil so while looking out fi himself Seba may have needed somebody else to lead.

Even if Georges was relegated I would still think King may have may have done right by his club.

It did not seem prudent for the coaches to be away during the season. This would unlikely occur in a professional football environment in the english leagues or in the MLS.

Should it be any different here? Not sure what the solution is. You want our coaches to learn from Simoes in the national program, but should the club, its players and fans suffer because of it?

It happen in the English league too. The most recent was Stuart Pierce been the Manager of Man City and the England Under 21. He came under fire from city fans as they came close to been relegated.

Some of the England jobs are part time as well and they will use club coaches.

Tappa - (...same goes for other coaches in the position of being a part of the National Coaching Staff while at the same time being head of coaching for an EPL team. I think St. Georges was the only organisation that complained publicly. If I am remembering, I think the president of that Club even made statements on "Dukie" being bigger than his coaching job at St. Georges and should make up his mind on what it is he wants? ) - was, in addition to duties that took him out of the island, also on local national duty - (JFF required meetings, traveling with Simoes around JA, tending to coaching teams) - when Seba desparately needed his guiding hand.

yes he did and he said he was late for several crucial team training and meetings.

I know King and a nuff argument we have as friend so he won't be afraid to make these decisions, as he said it was hard for him to do it as Duckie was a friend.

There is no doubt that the National aapointments affected the teams. I just believe international (or national) coaching duties should be separated from local coaching duties. In other words if we are gonna hire someone to be Simoes assistant, he should resign from his club!

By the way Assassin, the manager of Man. City was Sven Goran Eriksson. pierce was a part of the team but not the main man. Tappa and Duckie were different as they were directly in charge

Not true. Stuart Pierce was the manager before Erickson. Both was never a part of Man City at the same time. both was in the England setup at the same time.

Did you know that Tappa played an entire game for Seba about a week ago? I am told that it was the wrong thing to do and it hurt the team because he was quite immobile.

This might be the solution because the coach would make up his mind right there and then if he wants to continue with the NPL team or move on to a higher level. There would be no doubt as to whether the coach will show up next week or be on a plane to Brazil.

Is the JFF paying these assistant assistant coaches?
