Bradford City have released 13 of the 18 players out of contract at Valley Parade this summer.
The biggest names to leave are striker Eddie Johnson, defender Darren Williams and midfielder Paul Evans.
All three goalkeepers, Donovan Ricketts, Ben Saynor and Jamie Waite, have also been released.
The five players retained are strikers Barry Conlon, Luke Medley and Sean Taylforth, midfielder Kyle Nix and defender Luke O'Brien.
Local players Tom Penford and Craig Bentham have also got to look for new clubs. Penford had been in the City set-up since he was 10.
Youngsters Scott Phelan and Alex Rhodes are also out of work come June, while Luke Morgan, David Brown, and Damian Hopkins have also been released.
If the five players who have been retained by manager Stuart McCall sign new deals, it will leave the West Yorkshire club with just 11 first-team squad players. The club has installed a stringent 'take it or leave it' policy when offering new contracts to players, with no room to negotiate and just one straight offer. Peter Thorne and Matt Clarke have both signed new contracts with Bradford, for a reduced salary, early this year. Omar Daley has also committed his future to the club.
