Harbour View topped the U-21 standings with an impressive record of 14-4-3 while conceding only thirteen goals. The champions' leading goal scorer, Andre ************an, with eight goals to his tally, is joint-second to Jahmali Spence of Waterhouse who leads with 16 goals. The HVFC talented U-21 squad produced two Jamaica senior team representatives in goalkeeper Dwayne Miller, and left-full back, Lance Laing, while skipper, Montrose Phinn, made a smooth transition to the Harbour View premier league team.
In other games on this Friday, Waterhouse journey to the UWI Bowl to play last placed August Town at 3:30 pm in a game that presents a great opportunity for Jahmali Spence to cement his hold on the 2008 Coca-Cola U-21 Golden Boot title. At Jarrett Park, Seba United host Sporting Central at 3:30 pm, Village United welcome Boy's Town at the Elliston Wakeland Center at 3:30 pm, and St. George's are at home to Tivoli Gardens at Lynch Park at 3:30 pm.
Harbour View U-21 Coach, Ludlow Bernard
Although Harbour View and Portmore United have already been declared champions and runners-up, respectively, there is a hot race on for third place between St. Georges, Tivoli Gardens, Waterhouse, and Sporting Central. A win for either St. George's or Tivoli Gardens in their crucial Lynch Park clash will secure the third spot for the winner, while a draw will hand the third place to Waterhouse who are expected to swamp August Town at the UWI Bowl.
Sporting Central will be going all out for a win against Seba United, and praying for a draw between STGC and Tivoli, while also depending on August Town to hold or beat Waterhouse to hand Sporting the coveted third place over St. George's under the head-to-head competition rule. In their last encounters, Waterhouse were held to a 1-1 draw by August Town, Tivoli Gardens beat St. George's 2-1, and Sporting Central easily defeated Seba 3-0.
Entry to the grand championship presentation double-header and Stone Love after-party at the Harbour View stadium is free.
