Wayne Hennessey has earned the No.1 jersey in the Championship PFA Team of the Season after the Wales international kept the most clean sheets in the league as Wolves continued their quest for a swift return to the top-flight.

Making up the remainder of the Championship back five is a mixture of defensive grit and attacking threat. West Bromwich Albion hard man Paul Robinson epitomised the Baggies determination to bounce back to the Premier League with a string of commanding performances this season - he cements his place at full-back.

Bradley Orr has been equally as impressive for Gary Johnson's Bristol City, and he along with versatile Stoke City defender Ryan Shawcross, who has eight goals to his name this season, and Watford's Dan ****************tu make up a solid defensive quartet.

Barnsley captain Brian Howard is the only player from a club who finished outside the top-half to make it into the Team of the Year, a fair reflection on his importance to the Tykes. Another man who has been pivotal in his side's successful season is Stoke's Liam Lawrence.

The Potters midfielder smashed in 15 goals from midfield as well as topping the Championship assists chart to help Tony Pulis' men power their way into an automatic promotion place.

Ever-present Jonathan Greening has skippered his West Brom side towards the top of the table. The former Manchester United midfielder has been joined in midfield by Bristol City winger Marvin Elliott after the 23-year-old enjoyed tormenting a host of Championship full-back's throughout the course of the season.

The goal-machine that is Kevin Phillips proved his undoubted class with another sensational season in front of goal. His 24 goals in all competitions helped fire West Brom to the top of the Championship table and into an FA Cup semi-final against Portsmouth at Wembley.

Earning a place alongside Phillips in attack is Stoke's third player to be selected in the side - striker Ricardo Fuller. The Jamaican combined his brawn and skill to devastating affect this season as he left many a defence battered and bruised during his uncompromising strike partnership with Mamady Sidibe at the Britannia Stadium.

Good for him! If only he would play like that when he plays for the Boyz.
