I’m worth it - Lisbie
Wednesday, 16 April 2008
In a statement which could be seen as a message for the top teams in England as well as the management of senior football team, former reggae boy Kevin Lisbie said he has proved his worth.
The striker has scored 17 goals this season for Colchester who are at the bottom of the championship.
The 29-year-old's exploits are even more remarkable given he managed just 19 goals in 12 years at previous club Carlton, three of those goals came in a stunning game against in 2003.
But Lisbie who has scored 2 times in 10 games for the Boyz has insisted that he just needed a regular place to find his scoring boots.
