ROMA have vowed to take revenge on Cristiano Ronaldo after branding the Manchester United ace a "big head".
The Portuguese star tormented the Italians in the 2-0 win at the Olympic Stadium last night.
But midfielder David Pizarro was fuming with Ronaldo's trickery and insisted the winger would pay for being disrespectful.
He raged: "There is no doubt that he has quality but it is also true that he has a big head.
“Some of his little tricks in the middle of the pitch were unnecessary and he needs to show some respect to his opposition.
"You can bet that we will have something to say about it in the return leg.”
Pizarro also believes Roma can still knock United out of the Champions League.
He added: “We played our game and we are disappointed that we weren’t able to make the most of our chances.
“It just went badly even though we created plenty and if we had been able to convert our opportunities we wouldn’t have lost.
“We still believe in our league and Champions League chances – this team will never give up.”
Pizarro's team-mate Mauro Esposito also thinks Roma can overturn the two-goal defecit.
He said: “In the dressing room we said that our team is able to surprise anyone in any arena.
"We have proved that many times over the years, including this season, so we believe we can do this.”
Midfielder Alberto Aquilani added: “We must never say it’s over as that is not right.
"Undoubtedly it’s very difficult but we have another match at our disposal and need to give it our best.”
