    Carrick worry for United

Michael Carrick is an injury doubt ahead of Manchester United's UEFA Champions League clash with Roma.

The England international sat out training on Monday evening after picking up a knock in Saturday's 4-0 demolition of Aston Villa.

Carrick was left out of training as a precaution and United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will give him until the last minute to prove his fitness.

Better news on the injury front for United was that key trio Edwin van der Sar, Ryan Giggs and Patrice Evra all came through the work out unscathed.

Dutch goalkeeper Van der Sar missed the win over Aston Villa because of a groin injury, while Giggs and Evra both picked up knocks at the weekend.

All three showed no ill-effects in training and should be available for Tuesday's quarter-final first-leg with Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

The 2 man that I wanted in the midfield now injuried? Anybody see X? Sackcloth and Ashes at work?

I wanted Fletcher to man mark Totti and he got injuried last week now Carrick?

You dont have to worry about Totti

he is out, actually according to some pundits on here you dont have to worry about Team Roma at all.

So BoyU is good to go.
By the way dont you think if Totti was playing Anderson could nullify him?

I fully expect Totti to play ... oldest trick in the book. Not certain Anderson can duh the job. After seeing Fletcher against Croatia ... I was hoping he would be given the assignment.

Which pundit? Some NPL expert? Roma is one of the better teams in Europe ...

Yes, he can do it .... but if Carrick is out ... he is going to play infront of the defenders. Maybe Fergie should forget 4-5-1 and tek it tuh dem wid the 4-4-2.
