Fact is Simoes answered every question , to the point of asking if it was a joke? He couldnt understand why his journalistic peers were laughing at the situation which to me had him under a bit of pressure.

    I couldnt understand it also.
Bwoy X yuh a yuh daddy's own bwoy to rhatid! The issue is not the choice of language that the gentleman used. The issue is the tone in which the "statement" was asked. Now if he is a "real" journalist, he should know how to phrase a question. Also as a journalist, he should be impartial and refrain from voicing his personal opinions in such a forum. If I were his boss, I would fire him on the spot for discrediting my news agency.

Now its the tone lets deal with the tone , it wasnt harsh , it wasnt soft , it was direct and to the point .

Lets deal with being a real journalist , they do ask opinionated questions based on statments , e.g why invade iraq if there are no WMD , asked a million times to Bush personally and his administration.

Lets deal with journalist being impartial , show me one ? and not many get fired , alot get sued though

The solution as I see it in JA , is rules should be set that all questions be set in english and no statements should be made within the context of a question.

The height of madness , that could never happen in the U.K .Sven said he had to get use to all the english dialects before he answered a question , I hear Cappello is having the same problem for get about answering questions with bold statements in them about any particular player.

Lose dem press card...lolol only in JA.

X, yuh haffi admit, he posed his questions without using any tact. He could have asked the same questions of Simoes that would hold Simoes' feet to the fire. Simoes would then be forced to answer more directly than saying it is the man's opinion.

Beside his tone or lack of tact , nothing else was wrong with his questions and Simoes response was even better.

Everybody need fi lighten up. That is not typical of how our journalists ask questions. I believe the person asking the question was Oral Tracey. Everybody knows his style. He was clearly trying to be humourous. Relax!

I liked Simoes' response. It looks like he has grown a thicker skin, and I hope it remains thick.

I see why unnu tink say is me was the questioner. heh heh! Mi have a cheque fi Oral!

thank god for Oral I doubt any journalist would have the balls to ask his question in the queens english as a statement in a question in a lighter tone with more tact...lol
