Just before halftime, A Mexican timed his run perfectly to beat an offside trap. He went solo on goal. Ghana's goalkeeper forced the Mexican to the left. The Mexican took a shot from an angle outside the left post.
The shot was brilliantly blocked at the left post by a sliding Ghana defender for a corner kick.
