Do JA Footballers practise shooting under pressure. Seriously..why can't we kick to goal...even when we're not dribbling. Either it's feeble or it goes high

Harboufr View doesn't have the confidence for this level. They play the ball too slow...and they lack ideas..
These guys played the offside trap all night with no effect..Either they dont know the rules or they dont talk...Lazy ball game

They do this all season. Must be a coaching problem. It was mere luck why DC did not score a few goals against us in Jamaica because of this square defence. Any team can score against HV in the CPPL, and they do!

That Second Goal Should Not Have Scored

I am proud of Harbour View and Coac Hyde in general. There are Three things that did not work well tonight but he had the courage to try and play it and if he keeps at it, it will work.

Flat back Four with a High Line:
All of DCs Goals in the second half came from this. The stragedy is not however flawed its the culture. I dont know of many Jamaican teams that is comfortable with that system as most rely on a stopper/sweeper organisation. The problem tonight is I believe you need pace with the two central if you play that system, and you need to be a bit more compact with everyone holding thier line. Pressue on the ball must be there all the time and the midfield allow the ball to stay open and play forward and that is that in a nutshell. I will say to HView keep working on it. The sweeper system is dead.

            Flank play and crosses.
Well the commenator dwelled on it all night. There is a difference between floating ball in and driving them in. Also Scarlett with all that talent and speed get to the byline and cross the ball in and cut out some of those early ball.s This leads to my last point. I dont understand how a team such as Harbour View cant find better strikers with more movement, and pace.. I saw no threat from them. Now Rene use the term you must kill a lion every time you compete. Well Jermaine better understand what is needed to the next level. Take a hint think quicker play faster and find some range. He plays in a 10 by 10- box. He needs to switch the play and get ball behind defenders to make him more well rounded. But still dont throw out the baby with the bath water.. Hview I am proud still.

While I am glad to see H.V playing ball at this level , I have to confess Jamaican clubs have a problem playing at a fast pace with tactical awareness.

They look comfortable at home at that slow pace, but as it gets upped they havent a clue tactically.

Mental toughness as jawge coined is lacking.H.V or Jamaican clubs need to tour S.America to develop this mental weakness and develop links.

Until then we will forever be the best in the carribbean

It seems as the paced increased , H.V became individualistic , esp with Hue playing crap .

No mental toughness to keep to the tactical plan.Touring the Bronx league for pre season friendlys wont do .

Ask Rene/Burrell to explore Links with Various Brazilian & Mex clubs to establish pre sesaon links.

The minute Donald Stewart started they lost the game. He adds nothing to the offense, so you are playing a man down in attack. On the defensive side, he is so slow that every play he was jogging back to defend. Robert Scarlett had a poor game for his standards. The passing of Harvey was lacking. Edwards improved on the offensive front. Hue was decent, had a couple uncharactersitic badly timed passes and shots, but was otherwise okay. KK is wwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off where he needs to be.

Because of this Donald Stewart liability there simply wasn't any support for the forwards.

Also, DC is simply a better team than H. View and can play quality football at a fast pace. Those two DCU central defenders are very strong. The flank defenders are still pretty weak.

Not really. With them it is control pass and move. WIth us it is control, control again, look around, pass and I might move. Especially if Donald Stewart was involved.

Honestly I cannot blame a player , In this enviroment CPPL , or carribean cup we are preparing to fail everytime we meet a Central or N . American club, simply because our preparation is 10% of thiers , or what they invested to compete in this competion.

Its all a cost issue in my book , I am sure if H.V had the money they would have pre sesaon friendlys in Brazil or MEX , they would invite quality clubs to H.V mini stadium to prepare CPPL and Concacf club competitions.
