Simoes hopeful as Boyz face Parana

CURITIBA, Brazil - If the motivational pre-training speech delivered yesterday by technical director of Jamaica's football, Rene Simoes, is anything to go by, then nothing less than an inspirational performance from the Reggae Boyz will be expected when they take on Parana Club at the Estadio Municipal do Pinhao here at 3:30 pm (1:30 Jamaica time).
Since their arrival in Brazil on a three-week training camp, the Boyz have been on the end of numerous philosophical rhetoric from the Brazilian as he aims to mentally prepare the local-based group for their supposed future in first-class and international football.
Yesterday Simoes urged players to remain professional in their approach to the game on and off the field, but reminded them that this should not come at the expense of the Jamaican spirit that so aptly defines them.
