JFF General Secretary Appointed FIFA Instructor – Administration & Management
The Federation International Football Association (FIFA) has appointed the General Secretary of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF), Horace Reid, on the recommendation of the CONCACAF as a member of the FUTURO III Panel for Administration & Management as at January 1, 2008.
FUTURO III focuses on the education of member association local instructors in the areas of coaching, refereeing, administration & management and football medicine. Participants in this programme are expected to be actively involved in their member associations, both before and after the course.
FIFA stages several FUTURO III courses annually across the different Confederations of FIFA, and are aimed at assembling and educating instructors selected by member associations from various countries at a centralized venue. A maximum of two instructors from any one association may participate in any one course, depending on the qualification of the applicants and size of the country. Up to ten countries can benefit from a single FUTURO III course. A FUTURO III administration and management course last 7 days, including the opening and closing ceremony.
Reid is scheduled to attend a Seminar for instructors of the FUTURO III administration & management programme in Zurich on 26 February to 1st March, 2008.
Currently, Reid serves as Chairman of the CONCACAF Administration Committee and Secretary of that body’s Appeals Committee. He’s also a FIFA Security and Stadium Inspector since October 2006.
