  • HUGE break for Arsenal

For the FA to take the matter further, referee Alan Wiley would have had to deem the clash worthy of a red card. (is there any truth to it?)

    Gallas escapes action over Nani

Williams Gallas (l) and Nani square up during Saturday's game

The Football Association will not take any action against Arsenal captain William Gallas over his confrontation with Manchester United winger Nani.
Gallas appeared to kick Nani from behind during Arsenal's 4-0 FA Cup loss to United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Red Devils manager Alex Ferguson felt Gallas should have received a red card.
But after viewing video footage the FA said: "The referee was not satisfied that it showed evidence of violent conduct and no action will be taken."
For the FA to take the matter further, referee Alan Wiley would have had to deem the clash worthy of a red card.
    606: DEBATE
    Should Gallas have been punished?

Arsenal had Emmanuel Eboue sent off in a fiery second-half and a furious Ferguson said Gallas should have followed.
"I thought Gallas should have been sent off," Ferguson said after the match. "The referee must have a look at that again.
"He kicked Nani from behind and the referee called both over because they sized each other up. He should've been red-carded."

Huge break is an understatement. How can anyone see that and see it as nothing?
