Boys' Town to tackle Cayman Islands away

Boys' Town, one of Jamaica's most renowned National Premier League teams, will travel to the Cayman Islands on February 29 for two friendly matches against a Cayman Select Team and the Cayman Islands national team before departing on March 3.
On March 1 the Red Brigade face the Select Team at North Side playing field at 7:00 pm and on March 2 the Cayman national side at the same time and venue.
According to technical director of the Cayman Islands team, Carl Brown, the games are part of the preparations for the second leg of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers against Bermuda at the Truman Bodden Stadium on March 30.
The Caymanians crated history on February 3 when they rallied to earn a 1-1 first-leg draw against Bermuda, with Allean Richard Grant netting in the 85th minute.
The Cayman side is meantime basking in one of the best results they have had in World Cup qualifiers. They could make further history by advancing to the next stage with a 0-0 result in the return leg, where they would meet 2006 Finalists Trinidad & Tobago, who are ranked 98th by FIFA.
Brown recently honed his players' skills in a tough five-match tour of Jamaica in early January. During the training camp, the Cayman team played against top Premier League teams Sporting Central, Portmore United, Tivoli Gardens, Boys' Town and Harbour View.
Meanwhile, Boys' Town coach Andrew Price is looking forward to his team's tour of the Cayman Islands, citing the long-standing relationship his club has had with that country.
He said he was more than happy to assist Brown in preparing the team for this decisive return leg game against Bermuda.
"These games are very important as the Cayman Islands prepares for the second leg against Bermuda. Recently they came to Jamaica on a training camp with one of Jamaica's football icons Carl Brown as head of the technical staff and it's good to know that the camp had a positive effect on them and propelled them to a draw with Bermuda," said Price.
"We're only too happy to... answer Brown's call for assistance in further preparations for the return leg. We know we have strong support in the Cayman Islands. We expect everyone to come out and support the teams in these crucial work-out games," Price added.
