I just hope we don't get more of the same aimless long kicks by Ricketts if he starts in goal today. That has for too long been a a really bad part of his game. Success should not be measured based on how far and high he can kick it, but on what percentage of his throw outs, spot kicks, passes are successfully completed, i.e, possession retained after passing.

Field is not bad, but has detiorated. They were practicing some counter-attacking moves with the goalie throwing the ball out right away to begin the attack. It looked good. Ricketts does have an accurate throw and a good quick release punt. But one really wonders if he is brave enuff to do it in the real thing.

Ricketts handled himself better today. Seems as if he is working on his ball distribution and his managing of his area much better than he has in the past. I still think he is about the #3 goalie we have though."Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing. And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb. And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance." ~ Kahlil Gibran
