Jamaican footballer to sign with Canadian club Friday, 01 February 2008 Former under-20 and under-23 representative, Nicholas Addlery, is set to sign with the Whitecaps, pending international clearance.
Addlery, who represented US Major League soccer side .D.C. United last season, has agreed to a one-year contract, plus an option.
Twenty six year old Addlery, appeared in 11 matches with D.C., scoring one goal and recording two assists.
He played for Jamaica at the 2001 CONCACAF under-20 World Cup qualifying tournament in Victoria, as well as the 2004 CONCACAF Olympic qualifying tournament in Mexico.
Vancouver Whitecaps will open the 2008 regular season at Swangard Stadium against the Impact on Saturday, April 12.
