Reggae Boy Marlon King will arrive with the rest of Jamaica's English-based players this Sunday, three days ahead of the February 6 encounter against Costa Rica at the National Stadium.
King, along with Jamal Campbell-Ryce (Barnsley), Omar Daley (Bradford), Claude Davis (Derby County), Ricardo Fuller (Stoke City), Ricardo Gardner (Bolton), Ian Goodison (Tranmere), Demar Phillips (Stoke City), Donovan Ricketts (Bradford), Luton Shelton (Sheffield United) and Damion Stewart (Queens Park), will complete the national squad ahead of a full training session, which will be held on Monday.
Second shot at life
The 27-year-old forward recently completed a multimillion-pound move away from English Championship division club Watford to join up with Premier League strugglers Wigan Athletic, which will see him have a second shot at life in the important top flight.
King had previously been promoted with Watford two seasons ago. but sustained a season ending injury.
The player, who last represented the Reggae Boyz against Ghana almost two years ago in a 4-1 loss for Jamaica, had been handed a two-year ban by the previous Jamaica Football Federation administration after a late morning row ahead of the June friendly against England.
The ban, which should have run until May of this year was, however, lifted by the new administration which took office in November.
The striker has been in splendid form so far this season netting 11 goals for Watford before attracting lots of interest from several top flight clubs looking to strengthen their attacking options during the January transfer window.
Expected to sign with Fulham, King went with Wigan after contract negotiations with the former stalled. He made his international debut with a goal against Venezuela in April of 2004, and has six goals in 12 appearances for the country so far
