Real's Mijatovic gives up hope of Ronaldo and Fabregas deals

MADRID, Jan 23 (Reuters) - Real Madrid sporting director Predrag Mijatovic believes the club will have to give up hope of bringing Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo and Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas to the Bernabeu.
"It's is obvious that we could do with a player like Cristiano Ronaldo," Mijatovic told Marca. "But he is at a big club in Manchester United. I see it as being an impossible signing.
"It is the same with Cesc. We aren't the only team that would like to have a player like Cesc, but he belongs to a big club in Arsenal and it is almost impossible to sign him."

I have been following this and I find it very interesting, After reading Beckham's book I found out that Sir Alex tends to turn on players at odd times and once he does there is never room for redemtion...Beckham being the classic example...he saw him as being bigger than the club..then there is Jaap Stam who wrote the infamous book....Roy Keanne who was eased into early retirement after a dissagreement and then Ruud who felt unapreciated.
Christian Ronaldo's stock has climed high since WC 2006 and now he is being courted by everyone, Sir Alex hates when players get than kind of attention and with Ronaldo's youthful indiscreations at times plus greedy agents this might not be over yet. I still think he goes worse if he wins FIFA Player of the year.

    Cesc is different case.

If Real really wants these guys...based on how they have splashed dough before...it could be just a matter of big money to BoyU and the mighty GUNNERS ...and, huge sums to the players!

Didn't they offer something like 75 million the other day for Ronaldo? Fergie's response was that sign that was caught on camera the other day.
