January 20, 2008 - Kingston... National Premier League Champions, Harbour View Football Club (HVFC), got an upgrade to their facilities on Sunday when, Luc Maiche (maysh), managing director of retail gas chain, Total Jamaica Ltd., unveiled the scoreboard at the Fort Nugent Drive stadium in Harbour View.
The scoreboard, which includes a digital clock, was designed and constructed at a cost of over $1M, is part of an on-going relationship between the club and the gas company that has been operating in that community for nearly four years.
“Harbour View Football Club does so much for the community so we were excited to get involved with them in this way; we see this as a very worthwhile initiative for both organizations”, explained Maiche.
Club administrators also recognize this as an invaluable step in the right direction as they consistently work to develop the club.
“We are always seeking to improve our programme and improving the facility is one way so naturally this is a very welcome endeavour for which we are very grateful”, commented Clyde Jureidini, General Manager of the HVFC, who are also the 2007 CFU Caribbean Club Champions.
