ESPN.com named your boy as the top defender prospect for the MLS draft:
Top 10 senior defender prospects
1. Julius James, Connecticut -- Two years ago, a former MLS assistant described James as a "beast" and told me he was MLS-ready. James is the complete package of speed, skill, strength and talent who can start in MLS from day one. The Trinidadian tops his résumé with a remarkable three Big East Defensive Player of the Year awards. James is the only player in UConn history to be named a first team All-American twice. The two-time Hermann Trophy semifinalist should have been signed a couple of years ago; now MLS almost certainly will have to sign him in advance of the draft to keep him from going to Europe.
Also Naminirt they listed another T&T player in the top 10 at the striker position for the MLS draft:
10. Sherron Manswell, Boston College -- The versatile Trinidadian striker had outstanding production in his senior year with 11 goals and sophomore year with 10 goals. Those strong scoring seasons bracketed a lackluster junior year when he only had one goal, although he was playing midfield. Manswell is a prime candidate to change positions in the pros. He was all set to move to defense this year for BC but was returned to forward, presumably after Charlie Davies signed with Hammarby.
Good stuff! - T.K.
