<DIV class=articleLinks><H3></H3></DIV><P class=big>Benfica have strongly denied accusations several Manchester United players were racially abused in their recent clash at the Estadio da Luz.
Patrice Evra, Louis Saha, Kieran Richardson and Wes Brown all reportedly came under fire in The Red Devils' UEFA Champions League success last month.
United wrote a letter of protest about the incidents to the Lisbon-based club aftertheir players took exceptionto the reported chanting by the home support.
However, Benfica have denied the claims and stated they have not heard anything from Uefa or United on the alleged abuse.
"Benfica consider this accusation an offence against the club and the fans," read a club statement. "At the moment it's pure speculation in the press.
"We've not received any contact from Uefa nor the English club on the matter."
