The Reggae Boyz were beaten for the first time by St Vincent and the Grenadines 2-1 last night inside the National Stadium and must beat Haiti tomorrow to ensure their advancement out of Group D in the Digicel Caribbean Cup.
The result left Carl Brown's Reggae Boyz with a mountain to climb. They will have to lift their so far lacklustre performance, if they hope to defeat Haiti tomorrow and guarantee themselves a place into the next phase.
Haiti had earlier all but assured themselves of a place in the next round when they hammered St Lucia 7-1, and the French-speaking country now leads the group with maximum six points, ahead both of St Vincent and the Grenadines and Jamaica on three points. St Lucia are winless and pointless.
Substitute Wesley John volleyed the visitors into the lead three minutes after the restart, before Kendal Velox doubled the lead in the 70th minute when he was allowed space to shoot from 25 yards.

Roland Dean, on for Kevin Lamey, pulled one back two minutes later, but the Boyz were beaten soundly in the end by a more spirited SVG side that celebrated as if they had won the Digicel Cup at the end.
Another subdued 45 minutes from the Reggae Boyz saw them entering the interval against St Vincent and the Grenadines at nil-all.
The Boyz continued in similar style like they did in the second half of their opening game on Wednesday night versus St Lucia, as they lacked ideas going forward.
Demar Phillips' shot mid-way the first half, was easily handled by the Vincentian goalkeeper Melvin Andrews, while Fabian Davis hit his free-kick from just outside the area over the crossbar.
And there were lots of boos from the frustrated, but still faithful fans, as Trinidadian referee Neil Brizan sounded the half-time whistle.
