Hearts players hold crisis talks

Hearts players had a heart-to-heart after their defeat by St Mirren

Hearts goalkeeper Steve Banks has revealed that the club's players have held crisis talks after Wednesday's 1-0 defeat at home to St Mirren.
The loss was the latest disappointment in a form slump that has left Hearts in third bottom spot in the SPL.
"I think a few of the senior players thought the players needed to have a meeting with no staff there," Banks told his club website.
"There were a few things said that have not been said before."
The first meeting was held immediately after the defeat at Tynecastle and another on Thursday morning.
Hearts were refusing to comment about the meetings.

But the Boxing Day defeat had left assistant first-team coach Stephen Frail admitting that they had now been dragged into a battle against relegation.
Frail once again complained about the lack of fight displayed by his side.
And Banks, who had returned to the starting line-up following suspension to Eduardas Kurskis, said the players later "looked deep in their heart about how they felt".
"They told the truth, which is a lot easier to deal with as you can react to the truth and make decisions about that," said the goalkeeper and coach.
"We need to start looking over our shoulders and it will really be a dogfight.

Banks thought that Boxing Day heralded in one of their worst displays of the season. And he said that, while he thought the club was too good to go down, it was open to question whether the players were. "The club deserves to be top of the league and winning cups every year as it is a great club with a lot of tradition, but it is not happening at the moment," added the goalkeeper.

Good question. Nobody seems to know what's happening. Basically, it's a dictatorship run by a delusional man with all the money and no knowledge of football.

Anyone who speaks out against his ideas is immediately dispensed of. There's no real manager, but a coaching staff of three, only one of whom speak English and he gets no say in team selection.

Rumours have it that the squad selection is faxed to Romanov(in Lithuania), the owner, who decides whether it's who he wants to play or not. He allegedly decides which players will be substituted and when( before the match even starts), irrespective of how they play on match day.

He likes a rota system so even if you play well you're likely to be dropped for someone less able the following week. There have been times this year when the Lithuanian interpreter is the one giving instructions from the bench during games and there have been no English speaking coaches in the dugout.

The players he's bought are mostly crap and the dressing room is divided into Lithuanian players then the rest.

That's just the tip of the iceberg but I won't bore you with the rest. We couldn't fight our way out of a paper bag at the moment.
