If you ask me, we have not slipped out of the title race. I think we are very much still in it especially considering the fact that we still have a game in hand on the other 'big four' teams. The difference between us winning or not could be where we play Ryan Babel between now and the rest of the season, as I feel he would be a far better player for us if he played up front with Torres. An interesting thought has just come to me.... in the summer when we were linked with him everyone was saying that he has the potential to be the next Henry. Although we haven't seen that as yet there is a very striking similiarity between the two that Rafa should consider in regards to getting the best out of him. Here's my analysis
Ryan Babel - At Ajax he was used as a winger
Thierry Henry - At Juventus he was used as a winger
Both of them as wingers did alright but now comes the next interesting part.....
Thierry Henry - Came to Arsenal and got played as a striker... the rest is history
Ryan Babel - Comes to Liverpool and is still played as a winger So it becomes clear to me that Babel should indeed be played as a striker coz we might then get the same success as Arsenal did with Henry . Hopefully Rafa is able to be as smart as Wenger and do the right thing.
