played in the UEFA Cup for team A, then transferred to Team B that is competing in the Champions League, will that player be able to play for his new team in the CL?

I think he can play in the CL for the new team. Unless somehow UEFA considers the UEFA Cup and CL the "same" thing.

no i think he would be tied to the team he began playing for....that always seems to be a consideration in the january window.
