Ryan Giggs is hoping to score his 101st League goal at Anfield on Sunday.
Giggs, who completed his century against Derby at the weekend, said: "If you're not involved in midweek, you start preparing now for Liverpool because it is such a big game. You've got to play well at Anfield to come away with a result."
Meanwhile, Liverpool's Alvaro Arbeloa has said that defeat to Marseille in the Champions League would be a gift to United's fans at the weekend.
Liverpool must beat the French side tomorrow to be sure of qualifying for the knockout stages, but Arbeloa said that an unwelcome side-effect of defeat would be the chanting of United fans at Anfield.
"We can not afford to fail," he said. "With Manchester United coming to Anfield on Sunday, we cannot afford to slip up. They won't let us forget it if we don't get through."
