Seba United are in pole position to book the remaining spot in next Sunday's Cash Plus Premier League first end-of round final when the final set of matches in round one is contested this afternoon.
Following their mid-week 1-2 loss to leaders Portmore, who moved in the final, Seba, on 16 points, must now beat ninth-placed Sporting Central Academy (11 points) at Brancourt to move into the bonus final.
However, judging from Sporting Central's home record of two wins and three draws from five matches, Seba could have an uphill climb.
If the St James-based team fails to take maximum points from Sporting, then St George's, Harbour View and Tivoli Gardens - who are all locked on 15 points - will have a shot at joining Portmore in the decider.
St George's, with a plus-five goal difference (+5), will be going into uncharted waters as they try to secure their first win on the road this season, playing away to Tivoli Gardens at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex.
On the other hand, Tivoli, with a goal difference of minus-one (-1), have the fourth best home record with three wins, one draw and one loss from five matches.
Following their shock 1-2 loss to Boys' Town in mid-week, Caribbean Club Champions Harbour View, with a plus-two goal difference (+2), will be looking to bounce back against arch-rivals Arnett Gardens at the Anthony Spaulding Complex.
But that may be easier said than done as sixth-placed Arnett Gardens, on 13 points, have the joint best defensive record with Portmore in the league, having conceded just five goals from their previous 10 outings.
In the same breath, the 'Stars of the East' have not been prolific on the road, securing just one win from their four away fixtures - losing twice and drawing once.
Elsewhere, Portmore United will be looking to maintain their five-point cushion atop the standings when they play away to 10th-placed Reno FC at STETHS.
Cellar team Village United will be going in search of their first win of the season at Collie Smith Drive against the resurgent Boys' Town - in eighth spot on 13 points.
The Villagers are languishing at the bottom of the 12-team table on four points from 10 games, having suffered six defeats.
The day's other game will see seventh-placed Waterhouse, on 13 points, entertaining 11th-placed August Town, with nine points, at the Drewsland Stadium.
Today's schedule:
3:00 pm - Arnett Gardens vs Harbour View at Anthony Spaulding Complex (Referees: Lewin Purser);
Reno vs Portmore United at STETHS (Ricardo Sailsman); Sporting Central Academy vs Seba United At Brancourt (Oniel Clayton);
Boys Town vs Village United At Collie Smith Drive (Courtney Campbell)
4:00 pm;
Waterhouse vs August Town at Drewsland Stadium (Howard Stennett)
5:00 pm;
Tivoli Gardens vs St Georges at Edward Seaga Complex (Hughill Thompson)
