WATFORD, England (CMC) - Jamaica internationals Marlon King and Damion Stewart scored Tuesday but achieved different results in the English League Championship.
King steered Watford past Colchester 3-2 in a thrilling match, while Stewart's goal for Queen's Park Rangers could not prevent his struggling side from losing to Crystal Palace.
Watford's sublime early season form had been disappearing and that trend appeared to be continuing when they slipped 0-2 down in the first half an hour at Layer Road Ground.
Clive Platt sent Colchester ahead on seven minutes and Matthew Connolly increased the lead in the 28th minute. But King, who had a two-year disciplinary ban with Jamaica lifted recently, began his team's comeback five minutes before the half-time break.
King ran on to a long ball by John-Joe O'Toole and smashed his 10th goal of the season into the far corner in the 40th minute.
At Loftus Road, Stewart gave QPR an early lead but Crystal Palace rallied for a 2-1 win. Stewart, back home from international duties with the Reggae Boyz in mid-November, scored in the 10th minute.
