  • Goodison beat Ricketts 3-0 in FA Cup

    Bradford 0-3 Tranmere

    Tranmere booked their place in the FA Cup third round with a comfortable win over League Two side Bradford. Rovers went in front in the seventh minute with a 20-yard effort from Steven Jennings.
    Greenacre grabbed the second after he was left unmarked before adding the third when he ran on to Ian Goodison's pass to beat Donovan Ricketts.
    Bradford's Peter Thorne had a goalbound shot cleared off the line and David Wetherall's header hit the bar.

    Bradford: Ricketts, Williams, Wetherall, Clarke, O'Brien, Daley, Phelan, Paul Evans (Penford 69), Nix (Taylforth 46), Thorne, Ndumbu-Nsungu (Conlon 66).
    Subs Not Used: Waite, Ainge.

    Astounding that Ricketts can hang on to that position.

      Mo, we are talking the bottom of the barrel here. Ricketts cannot sink much further, well, if you do not think of the conference that is.

      Goodison's side is supposed to be 3 goals bette rthan ricketts anyhow. They also play in the league above them.
