UEFA president Michel Platini said the final of the European Champions League would be played on a Saturday from 2010 onwards.
Platini said the change, from the usual Wednesday, would mean the atmosphere would be more festive, allowing for more children to be present in the stadium during the final of the sport's most prestigious and richest club competition.
