What does the radio listener care about jersey colour? You might be too young to remember Duke Williamson on the former JBC Radio 2 who used to say he was coming "live and in living colour in JBC Radio 2 FM Stereo"

Too many times, no matter what the sport, we find two teams in almost matching colours. It makes the commentator's job difficult, which makes the listener confused as the commentator stumbles over himself trying to decipher who is who. It would benefit all if the teams wore distinctly different attire.

The statement makes perfect sense to me!
