CONCACAF TEAMS TO KNOW THEIR FATE WITH 2010 WORLD CUP QUALIFYING DRAW THIS WEEKEND
Thirty-five CONCACAF teams will know their route to the FIFA World Cup™ South Africa 2010 this weekend when the qualification draw takes place on Sunday (25 November 2007) in Durban.
The qualifying campaign will kick off on 6 February 2008 with the last games scheduled for mid November 2009; almost two years of intense competition to see who will represent CONCACAF in South Africa 2010.
The top three teams from the CONCACAF Final Round in 2009 will automatically qualify for the FIFA World Cup™. CONCACAF’s fourth place finisher, from the Final Round, will playoff with CONMEBOL’s fifth-place team in a home-and-away series for one of the last berths to the FIFA event.
