OTTAWA (CP) - Canada's men's soccer team will face Hungary for the first time in 20 years in an international friendly.
The game against the No. 59-ranked Hungarians is scheduled for Nov. 15 in Budapest.
Canada's last match against Hungary was a 2-0 loss at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.
Canadians is undefeated in its last four friendlies and hasn't allowed a goal since a 2-1 loss to Spain on Sept. 3, 2005.
"We need to build on our positive results of late and continue to gel as a unit," Canadian coach Stephen Hart said in a statement. "The team has worked hard to get good results versus quality teams this year. We will have to bring our best game forward against a solid Hungarian side if we're to add to our unbeaten streak."
Canada's most recent results were a 1-0 win over Luxembourg, a 0-0 tie with the U.S., a 2-0 win over Austria and a 1-0 victory over Jamaica.
Canada's next game is Oct. 8 in Kingston, Jamaica for Game 2 of a two-game series.
Hungary is coming off a 3-1 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina on Sept. 6 in UEFA Euro 2008 qualifying.
