  • Talk bout a plan blowing up in one's face.

Mi know there is some renewed excitment about Jamaica's football, as usual I'll watch how things fall into place.

On a different note, the new UEFA President, Michel Platini has been proposing reducing Champions League spots to countries like Spain, Itlaly and England in order to give more countries a chance to participate in the Champions League.

Well, the last 1 1/2 round have proven that such a move would only waterdown the standard of the Champions League.

Yesterday the 4th place team from Turkey was demolished by a team, that .. (is Liverpool in the top 10 of the EPL? Note to self, check EPL table ..hehehe) isn't even in the top 6 of the EPL, losing 8-0.

Last round, Arsenal roughed up the Czech table toppers 7-0. This has to cause Platini to reconsider his proposal. If he goes ahead with it, pretty soon some team will be losing by double digits.

    Scrap that plan Michel.

But hold on...didn't ManU beat Roma 7-1 last year sah. I would have to see more blowout results before I am convinced that it is a trend with teams from the lower ranked leagues.
