Locker Room Sport will provide 240 Nike T 90 match balls and 480 training balls, with each club receiving 24 match balls and 40 training balls for the season.
This was announced at yesterday's press conference at the Hilton Kingston Hotel.
David Shirley, managing director of Locker Room Sports, said his company was proud to be the official ball sponsor for the 2007/08 Cash Plus Premier League.
Said Shirley: "It was an opportunity that our company could not refuse, to be a partner in Jamaica's premier football competition. It is an honour for us.
"As a company, Locker Room Sports has worked very hard in a very competitive environment to build strong relationships with the governing bodies of sport, athletes, clubs and the general public. We believe in giving back.
"This is our commitment of supplying the teams of the Cash Plus Premier League with 240 Nike T 90 FIFA-approved match footballs and 480 Nike training balls to ensure that our local teams have the use of the same football as used in the English Barclays Premier League, Italian Serie A and the Spanish La Liga," added Shirley.
"Locker Room Sports is the exclusive distributor for the Kelme sport brand in Jamaica; however, we have recently added the Nike - the number one sports brand in the world - to our arsenal of products," said Shirley.
Locker Room Sports, which was founded in 1998, has been supplying and sponsoring teams in the ISSA Manning and DaCosta Cups, Prep Schools and Business House competitions.
They have also contracted several footabllers in Claude Davis (Derby County), Omar Daley (Preston), Sean Fraser (Miami FC), Lovel Palmer (Harbour View), Adrian Reid (Portmore United), Kirk Ramsey (Waterhouse FC), Marlon Benbow (Arnett Gardens) and Shane Edwards (Reno FC).
JFF president Captain Horace Burrell, who was guest speaker at the function, said he had only recently heard of the engagement but couldn't miss the occasion.
Said Burrell: "It was only last night that I was advised that I was required to turn up this morning to be at this very important press briefing, but believed me, I considered it one of my duties and decided to put everything aside to be here.
"I want to thank the Locker Room Sports for their bright initiative. I can assure you, Mr Shirley, that you will start selling more balls because usually small clubs will always want to emulate what transpires at the Premier League and therefore I assure that your sales will soar," said Burrell.
Edward Seaga, chairman of the Premier League Clubs Association (PLCA) told Burrell he "ought not to be too concerned about being given the short notice to attend any function in which he is to speak because indeed there are lots of things to speak about on football today. He is the right man in the right place at the right time in our view to be able to do this".
He added: "We are here today to endorse the Locker Room and the balls that it is providing for the matches and practice purposes of the Cash Plus Premier League. We have no reason to believe that the match ball will not live up to the reputation because they are FIFA-approved. That means it has gone through the testing.
"We have other arrangements with Mr Shirley in relation to the provision of gears and other items for the footballers, and many of the clubs have started to receive those items and some have indeed received them all... we're really looking forward to be fully equipped for this season of football."
Locker Room Sports also sponsors local clubs Arnett Gardens, August Town, Barbican United, Maverly FC, Naggos Head, Reno FC, Tivoli Gardens and Village United.
