THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has been ruled out for three weeks with a muscle tear, while Xabi Alonso and Javier Mascherano also face spells on the sidelines.

The trio all suffered injury setbacks in Liverpool's 1-1 Premier League draw with Arsenal yesterday and were sent for scans today to determine the extent of their injuries.

Not again: Striker Torres back on the treatment table
Torres had only just returned from a thigh problem to face Arsenal only to suffer a fresh injury in the early stages of the match and was replaced by Peter Crouch at half-time.

A Liverpool spokesman said of Torres' injury: "A scan this morning has shown a tear to a different adductor muscle to his original injury and we expect Fernando to be out for about three weeks."

Like Torres, Alonso had only just returned from a metatarsal injury for yesterday's game but suffered a recurrence of the problem during the second half.

An X-ray has shown that Alonso has fractured the fourth metatarsal in his left foot and he will now see a consultant tomorrow to establish how long the Spanish midfielder could be out.

Mascherano, meanwhile, will have treatment on extensive bruising in his foot which saw him limp out of Anfield will his left foot encased in a heavy medical boot. While the foot is not broken, it is still unclear how long the injury will take to heal.

The triple setback comes just days after winger Jermaine Pennant was diagnosed with a stress fracture of the shin, which will rule him out until after Christmas.

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez felt the injury blows cost his side victory in their heavyweight contest with Arsenal.

"We had problems when we lost Torres and then Alonso," Benitez said.

"We could not control the midfield then, we also had Mascherano with a foot injury and had lost (Mohamed) Sissoko beforehand with sickness.

"In the end there were too many problems against a really good team."
