    Tranmere 3-0 Huddersfield

    Tranmere moved to the top of League One on goal difference after comfortably beating Huddersfield at Prenton Park.
    The home side took a first-half lead with a first goal of the season from Paul McLaren, who finished with aplomb after being set up by Gareth Taylor.
    Early in the second half Shane Sherriff headed in the second after a McLaren corner was headed into his path.
    Tranmere extended their lead in the 83rd minute, Taylor heading in another corner from man-of-the-match McLaren.

    Tranmere: Coyne, Stockdale, Chorley, Goodison, Sherriff, Jones, McLaren, Kay, Cooper (Tremarco 80), Taylor, Greenacre (Curran 87).
