Buff Bay, Portland - St George's United surrendered to 10-man Seba United 1-2 on Sunday in the Cash Plus Primer League at Lynch Park in Buff Bay.
Damion Harwood gave St George's a 10th-minute lead, but Ricardo Geddes (66th) and Wilfred Smith (77th) rallied Seba to victory.
The first half was dominated by St George's and it was no surprise when they took the lead when Harwood jumped high to head home Omar Brissett's free-kick, beating the Seba custodian Gavine Barrett.
Seba countered through Smith, Mario Samuels, Ricardo Ellis and Seian McNish, but found Dwayne Holmes and Ricardo Taylor hard to penetrate. Smith was denied midway the half by the woodwork through a long- range shot.
On the resumption Seba were reduced to 10 players when Oliver Trail was sent for an early shower by referee Kevin Thomas for a second bookable offence in the 50th minute.
The Montego Bay-based side was not overly perturbed and attacked through Mario Samuels, Steven Forrest and Geddes, who got the equaliser shortly after the hour mark. Ten minutes later Seba took the lead when the hard-working Smith found the winner.
A disappointed Donovan Dukie, coach of the losers said: "Tough loss, we were in control of the game, got an early goal and a lot of chances. Our transition failed us and we lost the game. We had a one man advantage, but the players did not capitalise on it by playing the ball on the flanks. They sat back and did not come out of their shell."
Winning coach Theodore Whitmore said: "We allowed the St George's team to win the first ball in the first half, so we adjusted in the second and it worked for us. When we lost the player we played one-to-one and it worked. Wilfred Smith worked hard for us and it paid off."
