We have heard where football clubs denying permission for their players to play for their national teams due to dubious claims of "injury".
Now it has extended to basketball. The NBA Milwaukee Bucks have denied permission to their star player, Giannis Antenkoumpo to play for Greece in the European basketball championships which start August 31.
The Bucks say Antetokounmpo has a knee injury. The Greek basketball federation say the "injury" is bogus and is a conspiracy to keep him from playing. The Bucks deny it. Antetokounmpo is a second-team NBA All-Star.
