          How did he get to sixth form with only four subjects?
          Seems some bending of the rule already occurred.

            She said he passed four "last yrs" (sic) I think she meant that to be singular, as in last "yr" because she followed up saying he just failed "this yrs"... anyway, maybe he had passed others in a preceding year?! but that's quite possible.

            My opinion is that the decision to allow a player to play should be left to the MoE and not ISSA...having said that, the MoE might have more stringent criteria to be met...*

            This situation is unfortunate for the young man, because, if he is not academically inclined but is a good footballer, the school system does not cater for him it would seem. One of the dangers of depending on schools as the base for the development of footballers... a player like this who might not pass a CAPE subject, should have other avenues available to him in pursuing a possible career while still allowing him to play the game at a (relatively) high level!

            * Does the Ministry have any say in this? Does anyone know?
