  • Are Francis and SAFP public servants?

... while good manners and decency remains important, there is little room for maudlin sentimentality, as Mrs Fraser-Pryce and Mr Francis have shown.

The same type of thinking that created a problem cannot be used to solve the problem.

Just feel if anyone should have an axe to grind it has to be ET.
Who made Bolt and why is he a one of a kind?
He REALLY should have done better regarding the question od Shelly'$ departure as it pertains to ET.
Worth noting,Shelly is the one that took the diplomatic approach.

Its likely a question of how the toe was handled...Surgery or not!

I urged Shelly to avoid surgery - Sanya Richards-Ross

Recently retired USA’s Olympic gold medalist Sanya Richards-Ross has described Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce as a warrior.

She said that for the Jamaican to win a bronze medal in the 100-metres at the Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil, despite competing with an injured toe, was heroic.

The Jamaica-born 2012 Olympic 400-metre champion said she has been aware of the Jamaican’s injury from as early as April this year and she urged her to avoid surgery.

Richards-Ross, 31, slowed by toe and hamstring injuries over the past four years, saw her international career come to an end in July while competing for a spot on the USA’s team to Rio where she hoped she would have been able to successfully defend her crown.

She said she had a talk with Fraser-Pryce at the Penn Relays in April and from what the Jamaican champion told her, it sounded similar to what she had been experiencing for a number of years.

“Shelly and I had a really good conversation at Penn Relays about her situation,” said Richards Ross during an interview on Nationwide Radio in Jamaica on Saturday evening.

“My condition is called Hallux Rigidus.”
