Jamaica looks set to lose a medal from the 2008 Beijing Olympics as a result of one athlete being implicated among the 31 positive tests announced by the IOC last week following re-analysis of samples.
Unnamed sources with international connections have confirmed that Jamaica was among six countries implicated in the massive doping story which comes just over two months ahead of the Rio Olympics.
The sources, who spoke on condition of not being named, says the result of the "B" sample, which was being done up to June 1 at a WADA accredited laboratory in the Swiss city of Lausanne , is expected within days.
