Well the WI ladies did their thing. Congrats to them!

I have to admit I had never watched a women's cricket game before this tournament, it is enjoyable. The batting is good, with decent cricket strokes being played all around the wicket. I think the fielding could improve, many of the players seem slow chasing the ball around. It will be interesting to see how women's T20 develops in the Caribbean in the years ahead.

If the men can pull it off it would be a special day for WI cricket. In fact it already is.

THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Ah well, this is going to be a struggle.

Gayle has had a fairly poor tournament all things considered. I really think he has become like Viv in his last few years playing, flashes of brilliance scattered among a high number of failures.

I have to say Sammy has been useless in this tournament. Hardly bowled, made no runs and not very active in the field either.

Not a bad skipper but time for him to be retired from international cricket.

Where Sammy excelled is in the toss... he has won the last ten IN A ROW, always calling heads! That put us in a position to dictate how we wanted to go about each match!

Luck? or St Lucian obeah?? LOL Cappo!!

Right now all a we (WI fans) a champion!

I like how he uses his bowlers as well.

He has served us well in this format and deserves to enjoy this victory..... And then walk off into the sunset lol.
