THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Had Bolt, in some strange way, lost this final, how would that really have damaged his reputation?

Would he still not be the greatest sprinter ever? Multiple world record holder? A legend?

Ok, to lose to someone else having run the race...small dent!

Losing would only have been a small dent. However winning enhances his legacy by a much greater amount than losing would have damaged it.

Usually when someone has been winning for a long time, the neutral fan wants someone else to win. In this case everybody neutral wanted Bolt to win.

In years to come when the story is retold, it will be that Bolt didn't train and still beat them. That is story of Legends and cult.

Exactly 9.79 is a slow time by his standards to win a championships medal.

Whoever wrote this put it better than I did:

Bolt’s final act is way more compelling. This is a man with nothing else to prove, who’s the greatest sprinter of all time. He’s been hurt, has every excuse to lose motivation, get distracted, and fade. And yet he summons, on command, breathtaking performances time and time again.
