If by concerned you mean do I think Gatlin will win, well I will wait until I see how Bolt looks in the 2 races that he is scheduled to run before I make a call on that. I do expect Gatlin to break Tyson Gay's US national 100m record and to come close to Michael Johnson's 200m record this season.

Unless he made some major miscalculation in his training/ drug program, it seems reasonable to believe that he will continue to improve going into the World Championships. He is not a rookie, he is a greying veteran of the sport, literally greying!

Maybe that would have been better an automatic excuse, but he really got exposed by bolt there in a clean head to head and could not come close to holding the pace. That was the 9.78 to 9.85 gatlin, my sense is he potentially has shifted that range to 9.67_9.75, I think that could possibly be done so usain really just needs to come in top shape and prepare to fight a little more, he may get pushed a little longer if he is in top shape. Gatlin seems to be a man driven by pride not sure what else.

Has he ran under 9.7 even on a fast track?
The commentators are saying he is the fastest man in the world,as opposed to,saying he has the fastest time for this year.
I do not see him beating the WR,and despite he has mastered starting and certainly has the endurance throughout,he is barely better than Gay in my opinion,his lead can be narrowed.

He has definitely improved over 2013, no doubt, I think it is worth about a tenth of a second so upside looks like 9.68, at this level that is tremendous improvement, and clearly he is not shy. Bolt need to be in same battle mode like 2009 versus gay.
