  • Ryan Bailey start the war.....

with his cut throat sign aimed at (a not peaked yet) Bolt....................

Usain Bolt's offical split in the 4x100m last night at the World Relays was 8.65 secs. This is the fastest anchor leg ever recorded surpassing Asafa Powell's 8.68 secs from the Beijing Olympic Games. Usain's previous fastest split was 8.70 secs in the 2012 Olympic Games WR run.

Weir blasts American sprinter Bailey for Bolt gesture at World Relays

"He disrespected track and field. He also said that Bolt is 'somewhat of an icon', he is an icon and he was not showing enough respect, not just to Bolt, but to the sport. As an athlete, I feel like he was disrespecting me and as a member of this Jamaican team, I also felt upset and disrespected about it," Weir added. "This is just the beginning."

Just checked his FB page and he is getting a lot of flak for what he did. I think he should be allowed to do what he wants .... leave it to Bolt to silence him.

again lazie, he should be allowed to do what he wants BUT people should also be allowed to react to what he has done. it is a 2 way street.

you are right though, the best response bar none shuld be done on the track by bolt.

Yes I agree. He now has put pressure on himself to back it up. Let's see if he (they) can.

Really? That should be fun. I wonder if he realises how much Jamaicans follow track and field? Well he will find out.

Pulsating action anticipated at Jamaica Invitational meet (Part 1)

American sprinters Ryan Bailey and Walter ‘Mr. Shades’ Dix complete a fantastic field. Ryan Bailey should receive a nice ‘warm’ Jamaican welcome. His mocking slit throat gesture of Usain Bolt’s trademark pose after the U.S.A’s win in the 4x100m at the World Relays did not go down well with some Jamaicans. Track observers are anxious to see if he wins at the Jamaica Invitational if he will pull off a similar stunt in front of Bolt’s home crowd. The Americans have started the fire; let us see what happens when the smoke clears. This race runs off at 8:14 p.m.
