The IIHF Division 3 championships, where the Jamaican hockey team would start on their march to the Olympics, will be held April 3-12 in Izmir, Turkey.
The six countries scheduled to compete are Turkey, North Korea, Netherlands,
Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Georgia. Mongolia was in the field, but withdrew.
The Division I championships, which will be the qualifying tournament for the Olympics, will be held May 1-17 in Prague and Ostrava, Czech Republic. The usual suspects in the Olympics will participate, along with a few nations that are on the fence. They are listed on the webpage below.
