I can't argue with too many, if any at all. I didn't know of Emile Griffith.

other than emile griffith who should not be there ahead of mike mcallum...who does not belong in the top 10? would you replace viv or lara with headley and if so which one? if headly was to be included viv would haffi get lef? darling ahead of who? VCB did not make the list and she cannot be ahead of VCB....

Ridiculous where is Headley, where is Arthur Wint, where is herb mackenley, George Rhoden, Michael macallum, no footballer should be on the list at all we have achieved nothing in football on a world scale, where is Courtney Walsh, this is a foolishness list, clearly not carefully researched and balanced. After I posted this I realized that some Cuban athletes could also have potentially made the short list: Teofilo Stevenson, Juantorena come to mind. Not sure if that list was exclusively English-speaking or referring to the geographic area.

longevity and at one time holding the test record for most wickets ... to which longevity also played a part.

Holding the most test wickets record in the history of the sport puts you at the top of the mountain, not just dominate your era but show dominance over multiple eras.
